Shipping, Returns & Refunds

At Cottage Handicraft, we take great care in packaging and dispatching every order to ensure your handcrafted items arrive safely. We ship across India and to select international destinations, working with trusted courier partners to guarantee reliable delivery.

All orders are processed within 1–3 business days of payment confirmation. Custom, personalised, or made-to-order items may require additional production time, which will be clearly communicated at checkout.

Delivery timelines are estimates and begin from the date of dispatch, not order placement. Delays may occur due to courier operations, public holidays, or customs clearance for international orders.

Domestic (India)

• Free standard shipping on all orders above ₹1,999.
• Orders below ₹1,999: flat ₹99 standard shipping fee.
• Express shipping: ₹199 flat fee regardless of order value.

International

• International shipping rates are calculated at checkout based on destination country and package weight.
• Import duties, customs fees, and local taxes are the sole responsibility of the buyer and are not included in our prices.
• We recommend checking your country’s import regulations before placing an order.

Once your order is dispatched, you will receive an email and/or SMS with a tracking number and a link to track your shipment in real time. You can also track your order from your My Account → Orders section on our website.

• Tracking information is updated within 24 hours of dispatch.
• For international orders, tracking may show limited updates once the shipment reaches the destination country.
• If you haven’t received a tracking update within 48 hours of your dispatch email, please contact us.

We want you to love every piece from Cottage Handicraft. If you are not completely satisfied with your purchase, we offer a straightforward returns process.

Eligible for Return

• Items returned within 15 days of delivery date.
• Items that are unused, unwashed, and in their original condition.
• Items returned in original packaging with all tags and accessories intact.
• Items accompanied by the original order confirmation or invoice.

Non-Returnable Items

• Custom-made, personalised, or monogrammed items.
• Items marked as “Final Sale” or purchased at clearance prices.
• Items that have been used, damaged, or altered after delivery.
• Perishable or consumable products.

Returning an item is simple. Follow these steps to initiate your return:

• Step 1: Email us at hello@cottagehandicraft.com within 15 days of receiving your order. Include your order number and the reason for return.
• Step 2: Our team will review your request within 1–2 business days and send you a Return Authorisation (RA) number along with instructions.
• Step 3: Pack the item securely in its original packaging and ship it to the address provided in the RA email. Please write the RA number clearly on the outside of the parcel.
• Step 4: Once we receive and inspect the returned item, we will process your refund or exchange within 5–7 business days.

Once your return is received and inspected, we will notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund by email.

Refund Processing Times

• Credit / Debit Cards: 5–7 business days after approval.
• UPI / Net Banking: 3–5 business days after approval.
• Store Credit / Voucher: Issued within 24 hours of approval (if you opt for store credit instead of a bank refund).
• Original shipping charges are non-refundable unless the return is due to our error.

We are happy to exchange eligible items for a different size, colour, or product of equal value, subject to availability.

• Exchange requests must be made within 15 days of delivery.
• The item must meet the same return eligibility criteria (unused, original condition, original packaging).
• If the replacement item is of higher value, you will be asked to pay the difference. If lower, the difference will be issued as store credit.
• We cannot guarantee availability of specific items for exchange. In such cases, a full refund will be offered.

To initiate an exchange, please follow the same process as a return (see Section 6) and mention that you would prefer an exchange rather than a refund.
